#9 The Empathy Model: Are DREAMers American? Pt.1
The prompt this week was "Why or why not should DACA recipients receive citizenship?" We had a long and emotional conversation about DACA and the effects it has had on the DREAMers in the United States. Thaysa was a DREAMer and she discusses her relationship with America and how DACA is back in the news again with what is happening in Texas. A judge is ordering the federal government to stop granting new DACA applications. The conversation that happens in this episode continues into the second part.

#8 Conscious Action: Mental Health
We had a really wonderful conversation about what we do to positively influence our mental health as well as discussing submissions from the audience. We go over sleeping habits, phone attachment, moving your body, getting sunlight, meditation, and more! We hope this conversation helped someone out because it was definitely wonderful to even discuss it with people who understand the struggle. We'd love to here your perspective on this episode or get your input for future episodes! Thanks for listening!

#5 Privilege: Your Role In Sustainability
In celebration of Earth Day this week, we are moving the conversation along towards the idea of privilege and how it pertains to the global climate crisis. The prompt was “What is your relationship with nature/the earth? Are there things you do in your everyday life to improve that relationship? Do you try to make “sustainable” choices in life? Do you feel it’s easy to live an eco-friendly life and access information on how to do so? How much impact do you think your personal choices have on the environment?" We received honest and concerned responses that led to a conversation about how our role in sustainability can be unique to our lives and needs! We hope this episode broadens your horizons on what it means to lead an eco-conscious life FOR YOU!

#4 Stacking Intersections: Gender Identity & Sexuality
We are continuing the conversation of intersectionality this week and delving more into gender identity/expression and sexuality. The prompt was "How do you feel your gender expression and sexuality change your perspective on life or have created unique experiences in your life? If any of those aspects of you were different, how would that change the way you move through life?" We received such insightful responses! They allowed us to build more understanding on top of the idea of the “female experience” with the perspectives of trans and non-binary experiences. We hope to shine a light on how diving into intersections can create incredibly unique perspectives!

#3 Intersectionality: The Female Experience
THE PODCAST IS BACK! After quite a bit of a break, With Love, You is back but with a different name and an extra host! In this episode, Thaysa & Gabi jump right back into things from the last writing prompt from about a year ago. The prompt was "How does the statement of 'The female experience is often diminished.' make you feel? Do you identify or relate? Do you agree? Do you have any personal experience that supports or discourages that statement?" So, with that as our base, we discuss the idea of Intersectionality through the lens of the female experience. We discuss reactions and feelings to living in a patriarchal society as women. We also touch on how intersections overlap with the increased violence against Asian Americans due to the stigma of COVID. If you would like to learn more about this topic or would like to support those that are fighting this battle, here are Anti-Asian Violence Resources: anti-asianviolenceresources.carrd.co/
